A Streatley Sensation

Having been designed by Nicola Wakefield, we saw this sad and sorry garden during the height of the drought of 2022. Everything was dried out and mostly dead. To compound matters, the garden was on a slope and on thin bed rock chalk, but the client wanted a bowling green of a lawn with stunning borders and trees as a surround. Huge amounts of earth moving was required, plus an irrigation system to ensure that the lawn and plantings were future proofed against extreme weather again. The thriving classic English lawn and plantings are testament to the care and attention required to transform what otherwise simply let the side down.
