A Riverside Garden

A riverside Garden

Having been invited to advise on this riverside garden as part of Garden Re-leaf Day (see last two pages for details), we were thrilled to later develop the ideas into a complete redesign. In house designer Sophie Green only joined us in 2020 but her stunning design shows such a fabulous grasp of the sense of place.

Warm coloured porcelain reflects the light in this North facing location, whilst darker planking separates the zones, and leads you down towards the riverside dock, accessed by bespoke galvanised steps.

Metal containers with self watering reservoirs planted with shade tolerant Hellebores, Acers and Ferns ensures a low maintenance scheme, with a backdrop of woven metal screening echos the silvery ripples of the River Thames. We can’t wait for the opening party!

I have enjoyed working with you and Sophie and am very pleased with the outcome of the project. The standard of workmanship is exemplary’ (SB Pangbourne)
