Small but super smart
Eighteen months after being introduced to another project in Norfolk, we started work on creating this unique courtyard designed by Jo Alderson Phillips.
The building was once a barn, then for 200 years a Plymouth Brethren Chapel, before being converted into a stunning private home. The rear garden is tiny but chic, whilst the front is both functional and yet completely head turning.
Cobble walls so typical of North Norfolk were built by the builders, whilst the stunning corten gate was created by thegentlemanblacksmith.co.uk.
Bespoke concrete slabs weighing nearly a tonne each, lead to the front door and Vande Moortel clay pavers entice you into a secret courtyard dominated by stunning parasol cherries, with pleached pears framing the other boundaries. 100% style in a project that demonstrated a fabulous working relationship with builder, architect, project manager, designer and a variety of quality suppliers and artisans.
